The Process for Adding Chemicals to the Prop 65 List

Under the Safe Drinking and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65), the state of California is required to publish the names of chemicals that are linked to the development of cancer and reproductive toxicity. The list must be revised at least once per year to add new chemicals that meet the criteria under the statute based on the availability of additional information.
